Welcome to the Oklahoma Technology Council Website

The Oklahoma Technology Council has as its primary mission to grow technology companies in Oklahoma. We also serve as an advocate for technology initiatives with the legislature. I have the privilege of serving as the State Chamber's lobbyist dedicated to advancing technology initiatives and coordinating the Oklahoma Technology Council.

The Oklahoma Technology Council was founded by Dick Rush, President of The State Chamber, and six Oklahoma technology companies who shared the vision of what we could accomplish working together. The Technology Council Founders Group includes: Advancia, Advanced Financial Solutions, Genzyme (Novazyme), SBC, Seagate Technologies, and UroCor.

Rudy Alvarado of Advancia was the initial Chairman of the Oklahoma Technology Council. Gary Nelson of Advanced Financial Solutions took over as Chair in 2002 and agreed to continue in 2003.   2004 Chairman is Dr. Tom Kupiec of Analytical Research Labs.  John Parsons, CEO of Perimeter Technology Center was the Chair for 2005 and 2006.   Mark Towler, CEO of Phase 2 Interactive serves as Chair for 2007 and 2008.

This website is one means of providing members current information on things that impact their companies. It also will help acquaint members with legislators through the Legislator Spotlight, and in turn the members of the Legislature with Oklahoma technology companies through the Technology Spotlight and Directory of Oklahoma Technology Companies.

We will attempt to keep you up-to-date on actions at the Legislature on issues that effect technology companies with regular updates to the Legislative Update section of this website.

Our objective is to add Technology Spotlight articles on member companies and add new legislators to our Legislative Spotlight several times a month. Let's Share the Future!

Director, Oklahoma Technology Council
