Meridian acquired The Worx Company in 2004 to finish rounding out Meridian's web development team. During the summer of 2006, Worx began building web sites exclusively in the Drupal open source content management system.

Today, the Worx Company's primary focus is creating application level software for companies in need of distributed web solutions.  This effort may involve building you a simple marketing site or producing a complex e-commerce site selling your inventory through a catalog. 

The Worx Company utilizes a customer centric approach to developing custom websites built exclusively on the Drupal content management system/framework. Supported by a comprehensive process to analyze and execute each customer's needs, The Worx Company develops long term website and web application solutions on an adaptable and expandable open source platform.

The Worx Company is unique because of its relationship with Meridian Data Systems, an IT Consulting group, and Hosts of America, a Data Center and Hosting facility. This broad based approach allows us to offer comprehensive “start to finish” solutions to our customers that include Web Development, Database Design, Web Hosting, and other related services.

Our development team has over 35 years of cumulative web development experience (and 64 years of experience with other programming).   This team is headed up by a lead Project Manager who has over 30 years experience of managing projects.

Our Research & Development staff has participated in the Drupal community by submitting several contributed modules to Drupal.org.  We also participate in the Drupal Security effort as a member of the research distribution team that receives daily communication and is called upon to act upon security issues when necessary.   

The Worx Graphical Design department incorporates all the skill and prowess necessary to make your Web UI perform quite well.  We use tools current and relevant in the industry for making web designs you will like.  If you have some graphical design resources internally, we would be glad to collaborate while designing the style of your website.  We know how to adapt design for print and make it compatible to websites driven by dynamic content.
