Vieux & Associates, Inc.

Baxter Vieux, Engineer;
Eddie Koehler, Meteorologist; and Jean Vieux, Environmental Science work
together in a multi-disciplinary atmosphere to develop advanced water
applications.
Knowing how much runoff is occurring at any location in a watershed requires the integration of hydrologic prediction and accurate rainfall estimates along with information systems for hydrologic information dissemination.

Clients needing to know how much it is raining where there is no rain gauge use RainVieux services. Radar combined with rain gauges can provide better rainfall estimates than either system alone. We are committed to providing the highest resolution/highest precision data along with the best customer service.

Using Vflo™, a physics-based, distributed hydrologic model, Vieux & Associates provides runoff modeling for water resources management, urban planning, and flood prediction. Radar rainfall and GIS data is directly used by the model. A finite element solution to the kinematic wave equations provides an efficient solution allowing large systems to be solved quickly.

Vieux & Associates, Inc. is located in Norman, Oklahoma; founded in 1992. The principals are Jean E. Vieux and Baxter E. Vieux. Ms. Vieux is the President/CEO of the company and has a master’s degree in environmental science from the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Vieux is a full professor in Civil Engineering and Environmental Science at the University of Oklahoma. He is a registered professional engineer in three states and author of more than 75 articles.
